John Pulsipher for Mayor of Coeur d'Alene

Inform the Citizens

Support First Responders

Support First Responders

In public meetings, many citizens state that they didn't know or found out too late about a policy, proposed development, or other item of interest. I will increase communication by using multiple media sources for publishing city notices.

When a crisis hits, first responders show up quickly and do an amazing job. But, we may be asking too much of them. I'd like the city to explore leveraging the experience and ministry of faith leaders in our community. I will ask the city to create a corps of volunteer chaplains. Many cities already do this.  These men and women will also show up in times of crisis and trauma. They will offer emotional and spiritual support first responders and others in these crucial moments.

Manage Resources

Coeur d'Alene is full of wonderful people who want our city to stay vibrant and beautiful. City departments could use their help! As mayor, I will ask department leads to create a list of projects that can be completed by volunteers. As citizens and public servants unite to improve and maintain our city, Coeur d'Alene will maintain the small-town feel.

Manage Resources

Increase Education Opportunities

Manage Resources

This leaseable space, owned and managed by the city, sits empty and has for several years. When the city built the parking structure in downtown a commercial space was built with the thought of it being a police sub-station. The PD ended up not using it. Several other examples exist showing there is room for improvement. As mayor I will work with staff and council to ensure we are properly managing city properties.

Increase Education Opportunities

I will work with NIC, U of I, BSU, LCSC, and other stakeholders to ensure that the best and most important opportunities for learning are available in our city.

Attract Business

As mayor, I will work with all stakeholders to attract more businesses to Coeur d'Alene. Drop me a line and tell me which businesses you would like to see come to our city.

Taking out the trash in city park

Taking out the trash has a new meaning when you see it happen in City Park! As mayor, I will work to ensure it is not only taxpayers who cover this cost. We will enhance tourism in CDA and make it self-sustaining!
